[Mode: | happy]

I don't think I'll sleep yet.

2009 Highlights. In pictures! )

There are not pics from December because I'm lazy :)
I made a new years resolution last year that I could keep, to go see a different live band every month. Nice and easy and I done it. So I'm happy. Including a fair few I didn't think I'd ever see (Journey, ZZ Top and Bruce Springsteen being the main ones :D)

Yep, this has been a good year. I approve.

Anyway I'm working till 4pm on Christmas eve. Which means I should sleep. So have a good one :o)

Free CV evaluation: [Dec. 21st, 2009|02:19 pm]

Free resume evaluation at - http://resumeguru.us/?q=contact

Use this code LIBC1228

I've just got mine in - and whilst it is definitely an attempt to try and sell me their full professional service, it also picked up a couple of small errors that I had missed. I would recommend using it to give you a general overview. Still no substitute for going over it with a fine toothcomb though! I also don't mind going over anyone's CV if they have it knocking around, so feel free to use us in conjunction ;)

Linked in for job searching: [Dec. 20th, 2009|07:55 pm]

I've stumbled on a couple of good articles on using LinkedIn for job searching that I thought I would share.
http://careercopilot.com/2009/03/18/job-hunting/best-linkedin-groups-for-jobseekers
This top one shows the best groups to join for job hunting. To be honest, I find groups slightly annoying on LinkedIn as some of them are such spam areas! There are quite a few jobs on there though, so it's worth a look if nothing else. It's interesting to see what *kinds* of companies are turning to socialnetworking to advertise jobs and so on - and what that says about them.

http://cms.linkedhr.com/ezine/jun09/forjobseekers This link has a downloadable presentation on using LinkedIn for job searching and is very useful. It also introduces you to LinkedIn in general, and talks very specifically about how the groups can be useful for you.

Also - if you have any new agencies/job sites/websites to check directly for jobs, please do continue to contribute here:

Technical Difficulties. [Dec. 16th, 2009|06:13 am]

chazzyy
I have now been nearly three weeks with only one audio monitor. One of them broke, and got taken in to be repaired, which was supposed to take 'less than a week'. I've been feeling really creative lately, and have been experimenting with noise and such, and feel it increasingly irritating that I can't do it in Stereo.
When I get irritated, or upset, or whatever I usually play around with sounds, and work on music stuff, or even just play my Bass or Guitar. Now I am left playing video games more than I should, which really isn't productive.
If I phone Cranes Music tomorrow and get told I have to wait another week, I will not be happy.
But then again I always have something to moan about, isn't that what Livejournal is for. ;)

scellanis

I was looking for a scellanis, and then I found a scellanis
and heaven knows I'm miserable now.

Which song was this lyric from?

Hehehe...awesome! [Dec. 10th, 2009|06:49 pm]

scellanis
[Sound-Data: |Kamelot - March of Mephisto | Powered by Last.fm]

On the twelfth day of Christmas, scellanis sent to me...
Twelve poodles drumming
Eleven raspberries sewing
Ten dogs a-drawing
Nine castles bouncing
Eight snuffles a-reading
Seven computers a-roleplaying
Six muffins a-giggling
Five bi-i-i-ilbo baggins
Four tree frogs
Three norville rogers
Two star wars
...and a tea in a reading fantasy.
