I was doing the dishes this afternoon, bangin' some VNV out the stereo in the kitchen. My Mum comes through, and comments that Testament (off the new album) sounds really like Push The Button by the Sugababes. And you know what? She's bang-on-the-money! Expect a tasteless bootleg at some point soon ;)
Also, I just checked-out Alec Empire's new sublabel 'Eat Your Heart Out Records'. I have lost all my respect for somebody who was once my musical hero. I mean WTF??? This shit sounds like... well... total shit! ABSOLUTE UTTER UNBRIDLED RAIN OF RANCID EXCREMENT levels of shit. Empire and Nic Endo have become just another couple of pretentious art-school wank-stains adding absolutely nothing new, exciting or fun to a genre already bloated with shit half-cocked electro-pish. I hope Carl Crack comes back from the grave just to eat their brains. In the meantime, I'll be listening to Rabbit Junk and Cyanotic, possibly the only two good things left in the genre. And of course, the Shizit!
